About our Senior Consultant position: Senior Consultants are delivery focused technology specialists, who are viewed as trusted advisors by clients. This person is responsible for working directly with customers to deliver and execute Insight’s current and future services offerings. The Senior Consultant will also be responsible for assisting with the development of Intellectual Property (IP) in their expertise areas and participating in presales activities as subject matter experts. Responsibilities will include: Act as leader for the differentiation of Insight’s technical capability. Develop solution knowledge and share this IP both locally and Asia Pacific wide. Focus on assisting the practice team to meet the Services Practice’s financial target. Provide consulting services including discovery, design, build, deployment, test, pilot, documentation, and transition. Assist customers in resolving highly technical and complex problems. Work within political, cost, and technical constraints to provide the most appropriate solution for the client. Collaborate with project manager(s) in project planning. Effectively and consistently report status of projects back to project managers during project execution. Assist with project closure by developing project artefacts, participating in project lessons learned. Display strong situational analysis, problem solving, and decision-making skills. Maintain professional demeanour and appearance at all times. Collaborate with teammates (internal/external) using various tools and methods (Blogs, Conferences, etc). Demonstrate effective time management and prioritization skills. Take responsibility as the technical representative of Insight within strategic accounts to develop strong client relationships and identify opportunities for Insight. Focus on maintaining 80% chargeability through billing for solution design and transition to delivery. Develop profile as a technical leader in an Insight specialist solution area Essential experience required: Substantial experience in technical roles within a Services environment. Ability to map client’s business needs to Insight’s technology solution offerings. Ability to write quality high level and detailed architectural diagrams, strategic roadmaps and technical documentation that communicate customer vision Highly developed conceptual and analytical skills combined with sound judgement. Proven ability to develop technical requirements based on business imperatives. Interpersonal skills with the ability to develop strong client relationships. Excellent written (documentation) and verbal communication skills. Proven analysis skills with the ability to work with a client to understand requirements, define and present appropriate solution, and oversee delivery of a solution to the client. Execute end to end projects, from the initial gathering phase, design, implementation, training, hand over and post deployment support Comfortable with presenting and communicating technical solutions. A team player willing to develop and share IP within the organisation. Tertiary Education qualifications preferred Technical experience required: Experience in a development role within a Microsoft environment Demonstrated hands on experience building and implementing Microsoft solutions based around Azure PaaS. Solid experience with Azure Integration Services including API Management, Logic Apps, Service Bus and Event Grid. Deep knowledge of Enterprise Integration Patterns, Microservices, as well as Hybrid Cloud to On-Premises and Cloud to Cloud Integration Architectures. Experience in DevOps practices including automated CI/CD pipelines and Infrastructure-as-Code. Experience in App Migration/ Modernisation / Lift and Shift Experience with the Azure Data Platform including (Azure SQL, SQL Data Warehouse, Data Factory).
