Join our team as a Principal Analyst, where you will be at the forefront of turning data into valuable insights that result in actionable recommendations. You will lead complex data analysis projects that drive strategic business decisions and mentor peers on clearly defining analysis scope, determining the appropriate analytical methods for modelling and visualisation, and communicating key insights and recommendations. Collaborating with cross-functional teams and getting exposure to various parts of the organisation truly offers this role the opportunity to tackle diverse business challenges and drive impactful change when delivering comprehensive solutions and recommendations. Reporting to the Head of Data Analytics and Insights, you will be part of a driven team who are highly enthusiastic in delivering business value through evidence-based and data-driven insights. Key responsibilities: Strategic and/or Complex Analysis: Deliver and support strategic and/or complex analysis for the organisation, scoping the analytical work to design or decide the appropriate analytical methods. Conduct exploratory and hypothesis-driven analysis to identify patterns, trends, correlations, and causal relationships in data. Scenario Modelling, Financial Cost Modelling, and Ad-Hoc Analysis: Develop scenario modelling and relevant sensitivities, as well as subsequent cost-benefit analysis activities in the development of business cases and advice to support decision-making. Conduct insightful, ad hoc analyses to investigate ongoing or one-time operational issues. Visualisation and Effective Presentation of Findings: Develop and maintain well-designed dashboards, reports, presentations, and other deliverables to communicate analysis results and recommendations to stakeholders and senior management. Encourage a data-driven mindset, employing excellent communication skills to influence decisions. Business Engagement and Collaboration: Work with cross-functional stakeholders to define analytical scope, objectives, and deliverables. Articulate complex data insights to non-technical audiences, providing actionable recommendations. Team Workflow Management and Guidance: Implement and maintain an effective workflow-based approach to scoping and prioritising analytical requests from the organisation, collaborating with the team and with other departments to best deliver value. Mentor and/or assist peers when they need guidance in their analytical or reporting deliverables. You will bring to the table: Management consulting experience in data analysis is beneficial. 3+ years of experience as a Senior Data Analyst (7+ years of experience in a Data Analyst role) or in a similar role within a large business Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organise, analyse, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy. Sound experience with the development of data visualisation and self-service tools such as Tableau or PowerBI for operational end users and managers Experience in communicating and presenting intricate quantitative analyses to non-technical stakeholders. A continuous improvement mindset and openness to continue learning with advancing technologies.
