We are recruiting for a Heavy Duty Mechanic to live and work in Australia on a working visa. Please apply only if you meet the requirements below. Responsibilities: Conduct thorough inspections of heavy-duty vehicles and equipment to identify mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues. Use diagnostic tools and equipment to troubleshoot problems and determine the appropriate repairs or maintenance required. Perform repairs and maintenance tasks on diesel engines, transmissions, brakes, suspension systems, electrical systems, and hydraulic systems. This includes disassembling and reassembling components, replacing worn or faulty parts, and performing adjustments or alignments. Conduct routine maintenance procedures, such as oil changes, filter replacements, fluid top-ups, and lubrication. Follow manufacturer guidelines and maintenance schedules to ensure optimal performance and prevent breakdowns. Maintain accurate records of inspections, repairs, and maintenance activities. Document work performed, parts used, and any additional recommendations for future repairs or improvements. Adhere to safety procedures and guidelines when working with heavy equipment and tools. Follow regulations and standards related to occupational health and safety, environmental protection, and equipment operation. Stay updated with advancements in heavy-duty vehicle technology and repair techniques. Attend training programs, workshops, or manufacturer-sponsored courses to enhance skills and knowledge. Education and qualifications: A minimum of a high school certificate or equivalent. Relevant licenses as required. 5 years of education from secondary school upwards A minimum of 5 years experience in the mining industry as a HD Mechanic Strong knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulic systems, electrical systems, and heavy-duty vehicle components. Proficiency in using diagnostic tools and equipment. Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, diagrams, and schematics. Skilled in performing repairs, maintenance, and adjustments on heavy-duty vehicles. Physical stamina and dexterity to handle heavy tools and equipment. Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities. Attention to detail and ability to work independently. Excellent written and spoken english Other requirements: Must be able to provide a National police clearance check Ability to pass a detailed medical and health exam Must have a valid passport - valid for more than 6 months Drivers license for manual transmission Ability to pass a english language exam
