Position Summary The Food and Beverage Attendant is an enthusiastic member who is dedicated to providing the highest standard of Capella in the curation of memorable dining experiences for all guests. The individual anticipates and provides personalised service towards our guests and is knowledgeable about menu options, beverage lists and daily specials. The Role Be attentive and anticipate guests' service needs, including creating connections to understand their preferences in order to provide personalised service. Up-sell and promote specials advertised in the outlet. Be knowledgeable of food and beverage items on the menu and have the ability to recommend menu combinations and up sell alternatives. Assist other colleagues to ensure proper coverage and prompt guest service. Communicate additional meal requirements, allergies, dietary needs, and special requests to the kitchen. Recognises the importance of Forbes standards to deliver excellent service performance. Ensures guests feedbacks and complains are communicated promptly to management. Maintains strong working relationships with other departments to ensure effective communications for operational issues, serves as a role model for inter-departmental collaboration and support. Maintains cleanliness of work areas throughout the day, practicing clean-as-you-go procedures. Set tables according to type of event and service standards, including types of linens, glassware, plate/chinaware, and silver/flatware, ensuring all supplies meet quality standards. Be knowledgeable of and follow appropriate procedures for serving alcohol. Perform closing duties, including storing all reusable goods, breaking down goods, cleaning all equipment and areas, returning equipment to proper locations, locking refrigerators, restocking items, turning off lights, locking doors, and completing daily cleaning checklist. Follow policies and procedures for the safe operation and storage of tools, equipment, and machines. Talent Profile Prior experience in similar role/capacity is ideal. Working knowledge of restaurant systems (Symphony) is preferred but not required. Good communicator with personable character and a passion in guest relations management.
