PLEASE NOTE: This opportunity can only be completed as a vocational placement to meet Fair Work Australia guidelines. This internship is for University of Technology Sydney (UTS) students only. Therefore for 180 hours only, students planning to enroll or already enrolled in the Professional Internship subject 21651 (Events) are eligible to apply. We are currently seeking enthusiastic final year Events Students to come on board with our events team for an intensive internship program. The successful candidate will have some experience with paid ads on social media and search, and an interest in developing those essential skills during a focused internship with Mamamia. Our events division spans virtual (online) and IRL (in-person) events, for ticketed audiences and commercial partners. With access to the whole Mamamia media network, an internship with Mamamia Events will give you real-world experience in the design, planning, marketing and execution of a range of event types. ABOUT THE INTERNSHIP Events Marketing (Paid Search and Social) internship will include a range of the following activities under the supervision of and with feedback from the events and performance marketing team: Shadowing our events team as they plan, produce and promote virtual and in-person events Research paid search and social marketing options and create a proposal for feedback from senior team leaders Conduct an analysis to optimize conversions on the event sales pages Create advertising assets using Canva and similar programs Create a paid marketing plan (search and social) for each event Create, manage and optimize paid social ads in Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn, YouTube etc Create, manage and optimize paid Google search ads Report on key performance data including ticket sales, page views This opportunity is unpaid but will give you a fantastic insight into the event marketing world and create contacts across the Mamamia media company.
