Mamamia is on the lookout for an Entertainment Editor to join our best-in-class Content team. But first, here's a bit about us. Mamamia is Australia's largest women's company. As the Entertainment Editor at Mamamia, you will be at the forefront of curating and creating compelling content that resonates with our diverse audience, ensuring Mamamia remains a leading destination for entertainment. Your primary responsibilities will encompass a wide range of tasks, from content planning and creation to audience development and engagement. Here's some of the stuff you can expect to be doing if you join us: Content Creation: Develop and execute original entertainment stories for the website and social media. Own the Mamamia Entertainment EDM, crafting engaging intros and curating content. Content Planning: Oversee day-to-day operations of the Entertainment vertical. Develop an aligned editorial calendar for content. Coordinate coverage for key events, collaborating with podcast and social teams. Editing: Brief internal and external writers, ensuring timely submissions. Curate the entertainment vertical daily, commissioning quality content. Audience Development and Engagement: Monitor entertainment vertical metrics, providing feedback on emerging trends. Commercial: Track and deliver editorial mentions for Mamamia's partnerships. Now, a bit about you. Tertiary qualifications in Journalism, Media & Communications (or similar) with at least five years of industry experience Proficient in pitching, editing, and producing engaging Entertainment stories and social content Successful track record in creating TikToks/Reels for storytelling Familiarity with optimising stories for SEO Competent in managing content on Facebook, Instagram, and TikTok business pages Thrives in a fast-paced environment with a strong ability to meet deadlines Proven experience in team management Preferably, experience working with commercial stakeholders Collaborative team player with effective communication skills Prioritises audience and commercial partner perspectives in decision-making Adaptable and creative problem-solver in a dynamic environment.
