Find a career that matters and lasts As a Design Portfolio Manager, you’ll optimise the delivery of current and forecasted portfolio of work within the Design Solutions group. This strategic position determines synergies and constraints to achieving the design portfolio and seeks to resolve them with an enterprise first mindset by influencing internal and external stakeholders. In this role, you will also: Lead Design Solutions interactions with key stakeholders across Powerlink to ensure that the design portfolio aligns with organisational priorities. Influence and negotiate with key stakeholders across the organisation to resolve scheduling conflicts within Design Solutions. Develop and implement, in collaboration with the Design Solutions leadership team, a design delivery strategy for the execution of all planned design work which ensures the most effective and efficient use of both internal and external resources. Communicate the priorities and overall program for the design portfolio of works within Delivery and Technical Solutions to ensure that implementation is aligned with the overall strategy. Contribute to the leadership of Design Solutions through collaboration and engagement with Team Leaders, Design Managers and other internal and external stakeholders. Your expertise You’ll have a degree in engineering, project management or an allied discipline with extensive knowledge and experience of design or project delivery. You’ll have extensive knowledge of design, design processes and project delivery ideally within an electrical utility environment. You’ll have demonstrated experience planning and scheduling complex projects and programs of work within a design or project delivery environment including managing interdependencies, resource availability and other constraints. You’ll have the capability to influence and negotiate with varied stakeholders to achieve optimal outcomes. You’ll have the ability and autonomy to apply problem solving techniques and analytical skills to overcome varied and complex situations, and identify areas of concern and implement appropriate action.
