About the role: Reporting to the Group Manager - Gas and Renewables Asset Operations, you will sit within the Gas and Renewables (G&R) Leadership Team. You’ll provide cultural, operational, and strategic leadership of the Darling Downs Power Station asset and showcase demonstrable knowledge and expertise in operational leadership. Key Responsibilites: The role is responsible for focusing the business on its core priorities which include: Development and accountability for delivery of G&R business processes and site performance outcomes including people, plant performance, budget, risk, compliance, and community Through collaborative leadership, you will lead the development and maintenance of positive site culture and team engagement, underpinned by Origin’s Principles, Values and Commitments Overall responsibility and leadership for Health Safety and Environment on site Managing EBIT performance, Budget, and Capital Investment to meet fleet targets, as well as local Government and Regulatory relationships Prioritization, planning and organizing activities of the site teams, to deliver the 0–3-year Asset Management Plans Developing, leading, and aligning site team capabilities and supporting personal and professional development Building and maintaining relationships across Origin and leading industry groups What you will bring? To be considered for this role you will be an exceptional people and cultural leader, with the ability to interpret business requirements to develop strategies, as well as having excellent stakeholder management skills. You can show, through the work you’ve done: A growth mindset, having exceptional and demonstrable people leadership, collaboration, influencing and change management skills Senior operational management experience in power generation or heavy industry (i.e., 5-10 years as plant manager, production manager or maintenance manager) Experience and knowledge of the National Electricity Market and industry regulator is essential, experience managing in an EA environment will be well regarded Asset Management knowledge and experience (min 5 years) Proven track record in OH&S/HS&E procedures management and compliance Relevant post trade qualifications and desirable to have or be working towards an engineering degree, business degree or MBA Setting ambitious standards of performance for self and others; assuming responsibility and accountability for successfully completing assignments or tasks; self-imposing standards of excellence rather than having standards imposed Origin - Where good change happens At Origin, we’re powered by people who believe in creating change.
