Role: Casual Educator Centre: Goodstart Ashgrove Employment Type: Casual shifts Monday to Friday between 6.30am – 6.00pm Help provide the best start to a child’s life. You put safety first with everything that you do and ensure all learning experiences are inclusive and respond to the needs of all children. You’ll achieve this by: Actively contributing to the education program in the room and the centre team Engaging and supervising the children at all times Maintaining a safe environment for children, families and team members Building and maintaining strong, positive relationships with children and families Complying with National Quality Standards and Goodstart policies and procedures Supporting a culture of reflective practice and ongoing continuous improvement About Goodstart Ashgrove: Goodstart Early Learning Ashgrove is the original Goodstart Early Learning Centre and has been operating since 1988. Our aim is to offer a home like atmosphere which encourages children to feel comfortable and confident in their learning environment. Our centre team are early childhood professionals who are caring and friendly, and most have been employed at Goodstart Early Learning Ashgrove for over two years. They believe in children learning through fun and play and encourage children to learn at their own pace through our quality educational programs. The programs are based on individual, small group and whole group observations. Whilst we encourage children to learn at their own pace, we also monitor that they are achieving their developmental milestones. Included in our programs are areas of focus such as computer skills, maths, science, cultural diversity, language, creativity and the environment. We also offer a Government Funded Kindergarten program for children in their Pre Prep year. Our centre is family orientated and we welcome parent input and participation at all times. We have many families that have been involved in the centre for many years and take great pleasure in being part of these families, watching their children grow and develop, finding their own unique individuality. We share information and communicate openly to ensure that each and every child is supported as they grow and develop into confident, active, happy children.
