Primary purpose of this role The role will provide administrative support to the Careers, Events and Welfare Manager, which includes assistance to career services and key student events. This role will assist with internship program processes and job seeking assistance to provide students with relevant skill building. In addition this role will assist in the administration of student events and engagement projects that include SSAF project planning and reporting, student data maintenance, and digital communications support. Key accountabilities Career & Event Support Assist to deliver the annual calendar for events, career and welfare services and use creativity to improve upon the services offered Provide effective career support through the provision of career information, advice, guidance and counselling to assist students to make the best possible employment choices. Assist with students’ job application preparations including resume and interviewing advice. Coordinate the preparation and distribution of information packages for students, workplaces or schools and supervisors. Assist with communicating and coordinating the internships for job ready students. Assist to coordinates and oversee the day-to-day operations of job placement for students and ensures all possible reasonable steps are taken to offer students legitimate job placement positions for outside companies. Develops different communication channels to promote the job placement services. Provides job placement support for Study Centre students with job placement staff and students, to ensure they are fully informed on job readiness. Assist with the effective delivery of student events by providing support to the Careers, Events and Welfare Manager. Assist to build a vibrant student life and community on campus to increase student satisfaction, wellbeing and engagement with the university. Assist with the student activities and SSAF budgets for the campus. Assist with the efficient and effective organisation and running of the CSU orientations for the three intakes each year, and actively participate. Contribute to the organisation of the annual CSU graduation ceremony in conjunction with the CSU graduation office Ensure all students are recorded and their job outcomes maintained on the Work Placement Register. Maintains an up-to-date student internship completion database. Assist in the management of digital communications between students and events and careers services. Liaise with key stakeholders to ensure that all services meet the goals of the business and students Collaborate with stakeholders to define key messaging required to promote all services Arrange review and signoff by the appropriate stakeholders for careers and events services Assist with reporting for key stakeholders Assist with document preparations, digital communications, and other administrative tasks required by student engagement projects to include SSAF reporting, Handbook, and workshops content. Maintain social media to create online CSU community informing students of campus activities, celebrating success stories and promoting career and social program activities. Perform other duties as required to support the Careers, Events and Welfare Manager. Compliance Charles Sturt University Study Centres fall under the Charles Sturt University Compliance policies. The holder of this position is required to adhere to all applicable Charles Sturt University policies relating to the delivery of Charles Sturt programs and management of Charles Sturt University students at the Study Centres. The holder of this position is required to have a detailed and working knowledge of the applicable higher education regulations and legislation (e.g. National Code 2018, ESOS Act, TEQSA Threshold Standards, etc.) relating to their business unit.
