Job Title: Equity Research Intern Location: Sydney, NSW Duration: 3 Months Overview: As an Equity Research Intern, you will have the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in financial analysis, market research, and investment strategy. This internship is ideal for students pursuing a degree in Finance or a related field who are eager to apply their academic knowledge in a practical setting. Responsibilities: Conduct industry and company-specific research to support senior analysts in identifying investment opportunities. Assist in financial modeling and valuation of companies using Excel and financial databases. Analyze financial statements, annual reports, and other financial data to evaluate company performance. Prepare detailed reports and investment recommendations based on research findings. Monitor market trends, economic indicators, and competitor activities to provide insights into potential investment risks and opportunities. Collaborate with team members to discuss findings and contribute to investment strategy discussions. Present research findings and recommendations to senior analysts and investment teams. Qualifications: Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or a related field. Strong analytical skills with a solid understanding of financial modeling and valuation techniques. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; experience with Bloomberg Terminal or other financial databases is a plus. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. Attention to detail and accuracy in data analysis and reporting.
