Location: Mount Hospital, Perth Position: Maintenance Officer (Day Technician - Multi-skilled) Salary: CompetitiveMount Hospital in Perth is seeking a dedicated and skilled Maintenance Officer to join our team. This critical role is integral to maintaining the functionality and safety of our hospital's facilities. Key Responsibilities:- Maintenance Operations: Perform Electrical, Mechanical, Hydraulic, and Building Fabric Planned Preventative and Reactive Maintenance services across designated buildings.- Compliance: Ensure adherence to operational, regulatory, and contractual standards. - System Management: Develop a thorough understanding of all critical and essential systems within the hospital. - Preventative Maintenance: Carry out and update site-specific work schedules and compliance with guidelines. - Fault Finding: Manage and conduct fault-finding tasks across all engineering infrastructures. - Statutory Testing: Conduct all statutory system and asset testing and report findings. - Emergency Response: Responsibly handle emergencies and breakdowns, participating in an on-call rota for after-hours emergencies. - Customer Service: Deliver high-level customer-focused service and engage in additional training when required. - Collaboration: Liaise with and monitor outside contractors, ensuring high-quality service delivery. Qualifications and Experience: - Minimum Certificate III in Air-conditioning and Refrigeration (UEE32211), Electrotechnology Electrician (UEE30811), or Engineering - Mechanical Trade (MEM30205). - At least 5 years post-apprenticeship experience. - Expertise in large complex multi-functioning HVAC buildings, understanding engineering operations within healthcare environments, and familiarity with UPS, standby generator systems, complex building management systems, and chilled & condenser water systems. - Basic Microsoft Office skills (Word, Excel, Outlook), knowledge of energy management systems, and experience with Safe Systems Skilled Persons duties. - Ability to work independently and within a team. - Excellent verbal and written communication skills. - Passion for providing exceptional service and continuous improvement. - Self-driven with a willingness to provide excellent customer service and demonstrate proactive working practices. - Adaptable and willing to undergo additional training as required. - Compliance: Adherence to all statutory compliance obligations. - Commitment to health and safety protocols. - Ability to build strong, trusting relationships with colleagues and contribute to business continuity.Desirable: - Experience with Reverse Osmosis, Medical Suction, Air Compressor, and Nurse Call system installations.About BGIS BGIS is a global leader in the provision of facility management, project delivery, energy & sustainability, asset management, workplace advisory, and real estate services.
