The Watersports Coordinator will manage the service desks, telephones, coordination and general administration of the Marine Department. The focus of this role is the alignment of bookings and communication from the Resort’s Watersports area ensuring a streamline, professional and unique experience for all Intercontinental Hayman Island guests and colleagues. This position is a dual function with the Marine Coordinator. 1. Your day-to-day * Provide coverage of the Marine Service desk and assistance to the Coxswains, and Skippers * Assist with guests and colleagues visiting the Marine service desk * Provide professional and prompt assistance via telephone, email and in-person to any enquiries, bookings and sales * Coordinate activities booked via the Resort’s Watersports & Activities desk within the Sports & Leisure operation. * Maintain daily administration such as, but not limited to: liability acceptance forms, manifesting data, guest queries and comments, scheduled equipment service, inventories etc. * Ensure effective housekeeping and cleanliness standard to be maintained within the Marine Offices and all guest contact areas. * Maintain computerized databases by performing daily updates and data input. * Utilizing the appropriate software and systems to ensure a streamline booking process * Ensure a friendly, helpful yet professional environment for guests and colleagues alike * Monitor and respond to Watersports radio operations including VHF and local marine radios * Processing of all Watersports and dive invoices, cash handling and end-of-day cash up * Function as a stable pivotal point for Emergency response. Reacting promptly and providing to support to the ERT and Marina Operations team. * Assist with daily merchandise sales from Marine Retail. * Complete other duties as assigned * InterContinental Hayman Island Resort is committed to providing and maintaining a safe and healthy workplace for all employees as well as clients, visitors and members of the public. What we need from you * Senior First Aid Certificate, CPR, and O2 * Cash handling and sales experience * Current QLD RSA certificate * Intermediate Microsoft Office and computer skills * Exceptional customer service experience, in particular within a 5-star market * Knowledge of Marine WHS legislation specific to Queensland and an understanding of the importance of safety within the department (highly regarded)
