Melbourne , VIC, Australia - Internship About The Role The intern will gain hands-on experience in various aspects of cybersecurity, including threat analysis, vulnerability assessment, incident response, and the implementation of security measures. This internship offers a unique opportunity to work alongside experienced professionals in a fast-paced environment and contribute to real-world security initiatives. Roles And Responsibilities Assist in monitoring and analyzing security events and incidents Participate in vulnerability assessments and penetration testing Support the development and implementation of security policies and procedures Help maintain and update security systems, including firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and antivirus software Conduct research on emerging cybersecurity threats and trends Assist in the investigation of security breaches and incidents Contribute to the development of security awareness training materials Perform other related tasks as assigned by the cybersecurity team Requirements: Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s or Master’s program in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field Basic understanding of cybersecurity principles and best practices Familiarity with security tools and technologies (e.g., firewalls, IDS/IPS, SIEM) Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Excellent written and verbal communication skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team High level of integrity and professionalism Powered by JazzHR
