BGIS is on the lookout for a skilled Fitter and Turner with welding experience to join our dynamic team. If you have a passion for maintenance, a knack for precision, and a commitment to safety, we want to hear from you!Key Responsibilities: - Adhere to OHS&E policies and ensure all stakeholders maintain these standards. - Fabricate and maintain targets, performing all types of welding, including on hardened materials. - Assist with various maintenance and repair tasks as needed. - Carry out planned and reactive maintenance, ensuring equipment inspections and routine checks are completed on schedule. - Contribute to daily operations and maintain the site, ensuring timely and professional completion of work orders. - Collaborate with facilities and site management teams to meet required outcomes. - Provide support to other maintenance staff and oversee sub-contractors when necessary. - Ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, codes, and BGIS business systems.What We Offer: - A collaborative and supportive work environment. - Opportunities for professional growth and development. - A chance to work with a dedicated and talented team in Sydney CBD.Qualifications and Experience: - Relevant technical qualifications in Fabrication, Welding, Boiler Making, or Plumbing Services. - Demonstrated experience in a property or corporate real estate environment. - Strong business acumen with financial knowledge and skills. - Proficiency in desktop applications such as Word, Excel, and Outlook. - Knowledge and experience with CMMS (Computerised Maintenance Management System).Desirable Attributes: - Working knowledge of various trades and services (e.g., Electrical, Carpentry, Plumbing). - Additional certifications such as an elevated work platform (EVP) certification or Forklift Licence. - Welding experience preferable but not essential.Core Attributes: - Customer-focused, proactive, and able to work collaboratively within a team. - Demonstrates integrity, accountability, and effective problem-solving and decision-making skills. - Strong communication abilities and a commitment to continuous learning and improvement.Why Join Us / Benefits: At BGIS, we create safe environments where our people can do their best work.
