About the Role: The Integration & Improvement Superintendent will report to the Mine Manager, and this position will be offered on a family friendly Monday to Friday roster and will be primarily accountable for driving performance and maintaining an operating strategy and business plan that delivers on Alcoa’s objectives. This position will be the critical link in aligning departments across Huntly through embedding and enhancing the Huntly management operating system consistent with Alcoa Business System and external best practice. Key Deliverables: * Ensure integrated planning and execution of work across departments at the Huntly Operations. * Maintain the integrity and effectiveness of the Huntly management operating system so that it drives performance and engages all Huntly people in improvement. * Drive sustained improvement in performance across the Huntly value chain, supported by a pipeline of business improvement projects. * Lead the business improvement team to support operations in delivery of improvements in accordance with business priorities. * Lead the annual planning and budgeting process across Huntly. * Play an integral role in supporting the Huntly 3 Year Mine Plan, aligning with Huntly operating strategy and ensuring it is effectively translated into execution through the 3-month integrated plan. * Ensure that work driven through support functions (eg engineering/maintenance, fleet/asset management, capital projects) aligned with the Huntly operating strategy and plan What’s on offer: * Career development opportunities to pursue your passion * Monthly Leisure Day * Benefits allowance * Performance related bonus (variable) * 16 weeks paid parental leave scheme * Paid annual volunteer hours * Social and diversity focused engagement opportunities What you can bring to the role: To play a part in our ongoing success we are seeking someone with: * Tertiary qualifications in Business, Project Management, Engineering, or equivalent will be held in high regard but not essential. * An intricate understanding of the challenges of leading in Operations or Maintenance in Mining. * A passion for continuously improving perform, with highly developed problem-solving skills. * Extensive change management experience. * Advanced interpersonal skills to be able to interact and influence at all levels. * Excellent presentation and communication skills * Strong conceptual and strategic thinking skills, and to translate these concepts into operational terms. About the Location Huntly is one of our two bauxite mines in Western Australia. Established in 1976 and located east of North Dandalup in WA, it is the world’s second largest bauxite mine, supplying ore to Alcoa’s Pinjarra and Kwinana alumina refineries. Bauxite ore from Alcoa’s Huntly and Willowdale mines helps to produce almost half of Australia’s alumina and approximately 19 per cent of Australia’s aluminium.
