Mamamia is on the lookout for an Entertainment Producer to join our best-in-class editorial team. But first, here's a bit about us. Mamamia is Australia's largest women's media company. Mamamia reaches seven million women each month across our written, video, audio, and social platforms and we have the largest women's podcast network in the world. What we're looking for. Mamamia's Entertainment Producer is a pop culture obsessive who is neck-deep in everything entertainment. From reality TV to local and international celebrity news, your role will be to pitch and report on original stories, interview celebrities both on and off camera and produce written and social content true to the Mamamia tone, for our highly engaged audiences. Reporting to the Entertainment Editor, you will be confident on-camera representing Mamamia in social videos, TV guest spots and industry events. This is a full time role based in our Sydney office working Sunday to Thursday 11am - 7pm. Here's some of the stuff you can expect to be doing if you join us: Pitch and write stories both on a daily basis and for future key dates and events working to a content calendar. Keep across breaking entertainment news and topics. Research, conduct interviews and build strong relationships with key contacts to generate a steady flow of quality stories for the site, podcasts and social channels. Report accurately, fact check and reach out to sources to verify content Write engaging headlines and social sells in the Mamamia tone. Load posts, source and select relevant images, video and podcast content and related links. Use data and metrics to inform pitching and have a finger on the pulse for what women are talking about. Now, a bit about you. Tertiary qualifications in Journalism, Media & Communications (or similar) Confident to pitch entertainment stories or social ideas Has experience in optimising stories for SEO Ability to work in a fast paced environment and meet deadlines under pressure Exceptional organisation, attention to detail and time management skills Self motivated and enthusiastic team player Ability to accept feedback and apply in a timely manner Life at Mamamia.
