We're looking for a talented and experienced Tax Accountant to join our growing team and play a vital role in ensuring our users navigate the complexities of SMSF taxation. Key Responsibilities Prepare and lodge complex SMSF tax returns for a diverse client base, adhering to ATO (Australian Taxation Office) guidelines and legislation. Analyse and interpret financial statements and transaction data to ensure tax accuracy. Identify and implement tax-minimisation strategies that comply with all relevant regulations, maximising client benefits. Provide clear and concise tax advice and guidance to MySMSF users in a timely and professional manner. Maintain a strong working relationship with the ATO and other tax authorities. Stay up-to-date on the latest SMSF tax legislation and regulatory changes through ongoing training and industry resources. Collaborate with the MySMSF support team to provide seamless service for our users. Qualifications Minimum of 7 years' experience in preparing and lodging SMSF tax returns. Qualified Chartered Accountant (CA), Certified Practicing Accountant (CPA), or equivalent accounting qualification. Strong understanding of Australian taxation law, particularly as it applies to SMSFs. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail. Ability to work independently while also collaborating effectively as part of a team. Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain complex tax concepts in a clear and understandable way. Proficiency in accounting software packages (MYOB, Xero, etc.) and tax software (Tax Agent software).
