The Workshop Assistant, reporting to Production Manager, is a strategic role responsible for ensuring our production team and facility have what they need to deliver Autonomy Products meeting the highest standards for quality and reliability. You will work in a team to keep our facility and our production lines at optimal condition. The Location: Hexagon is a global company with locations around the world. This position will be in person at our Wangara WA Facility. Responsibilities: Meeting all safety requirements of the company and industry. Maintain the 5s standards set in place by leadership. Support shop productions goals. Receive in kits from Stores and properly prepare the kits for install using standard work. Use hand tools to finish some assemblies prior to install. Work with closely with the Shop Supervisor on all shop improvement initiatives. Keep a clean and well-organized workspace. Using reason to solve problems as they arise. Participate in continuous improvement activities. Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, & Behaviors Required: A Western Australian Certificate of Education or Equivalent. Attention to detail. Excellent hand-eye coordination. Skilled in mechanics. Willing to perform repetitive tasks while sitting or standing for extended periods of time. Must have good eyesight, including depth perception, peripheral vision, and ability to differentiate between colors. Physical Demands and Working Conditions: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to sit. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move more than 20kgs. The employee is regularly required to use close vision and color vision.
