Eligible Health Workers who move to Queensland from interstate and international jurisdictions to take up permanent employment may receive up to $20,000 in incentive payments under the Queensland Health Attraction Incentive SchemePermanent full-timeThe roleThe Podiatrist role will deliver a High-Risk foot service based on current Best Practice Guidelines to consumers of Queensland Health, including those with chronic disease and ‘acute and high-risk feet'. This will include, but is not limited to those with amputations, foot ulcerations, peripheral neuropathy, peripheral vascular disease and gross foot deformities. The ideal applicant will be someone who has proven ability and can demonstrate the following: Clinical Expertise: Clinical skills, knowledge and expertise in podiatry services. Communication: Abilities to provide clinical advice related to podiatry service delivery to senior managers and other stakeholders. Teamwork: Abilities to work as part of a multidisciplinary team to achieve best patient outcomes. Clinical Ability: Knowledge and abilities to apply evidence based principles to facilitate novel and complex clinical decisions concerning podiatry interventions. Leadership: Level ability to apply strategic and daily operational directions to the development of professional standards on a local Hospital and Health Service and State-wide basis. Self-Management: Ability to prioritise and manage own clinical and non-clinical responsibilities. Other requirements The successful applicant must hold a tertiary qualification in Podiatry and hold current registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (Podiatry Board of Australia). Aged Care Pre-Employment Screening: Applicants are advised this position works in an identified Aged Care Facility as per the Aged Care Act 1997 and therefore requires employees and volunteers to have a current National Police Certificate. Queensland Health will facilitate applicants obtaining the above National Police Certificate. This is a Vaccine Preventable Diseases (VPD) risk role: Hepatitis A/B, Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, and Pertussis. This position may be required to work on weekends and public holidays on a rostered basis. Generous remuneration package value up to $132,730 p.a. comprising: Salary range of $76,747 to $116,332 p.a.
