We are currently seeking enthusiastic Events Students to come on board with our events team for an intensive internship program. Mamamia is Australia's largest independent women's media company, with a decade-long reputation for being on the pulse of what women are talking about. Our events division spans virtual (online) and IRL (in-person) events, for ticketed audiences and commercial partners. With access to the whole Mamamia media network, an internship with Mamamia Events will give you real-world experience in the design, planning, marketing and execution of a range of event types. ABOUT THE INTERNSHIP The Events Assistant Role will include a range of the following under the supervision of and with feedback from the events team: - Shadowing our events team as they plan and promote virtual and IRL consumer events - Drafting a marketing plan for virtual events and executing on that plan - Creating promotional assets using Canva - Drafting podcast scripts to promote events - Creating, monitoring, optimizing and reporting on paid social ads - Creating, monitoring, optimizing and reporting on paid search ads - Conducting SEO analysis to optimize event sales pages - Assisting with the build and design on event website - Assisting the event team with behind the scenes work for their events and assist with set up and running of events - Ensuring all events are photographed, downsized, watermarked with the Mamamia logo and correctly saved in our database - Assisting with technical in office where required, sending out e-newsletters and other database and marketing mail outs and data entry. - You may be required to go out on events over the busy periods This opportunity is unpaid but will give you a fantastic insight into the event world and create contacts across the Mamamia media company. PLEASE NOTE: This opportunity can only be completed as a vocational placement to meet Fair Work Australia guidelines. This internship is for University of Technology Sydney (UTS) students only. Therefore for 180 hours only, students planning to enroll or already enrolled in a Professional Internship subject are eligible to apply.
