Position: Retail Sales Consultant Based: Brisbane Reporting To: Retail Sales Team Leader Department: Customer Service Team Status: Full-time. The Role: Topdeck Sales Consultants are the front line in delivering expert and unparalleled service to hundreds of thousands of young explorers from right across the globe. The Customer Sales Consultant will focus on increasing sales from the direct consumer market via phone, on-line, live chat and social media channels. Essential responsibilities: Provide quotations, travel details and reservations for all Topdeck global products Respond to enquiries in an efficient and professional manner Accurate processing of bookings and payments Respond to email enquiries within the targeted time frame Effective management of all communication and enquiry channels (phone, email, chat and social) Actively pursue and follow up all general enquiries to chase a sale and increase conversion Build rapport with key agents to facilitate repeat bookings The expertise to exceed sales targets and maintain a can-do attitude Respond to enquiries received via Topdeck Live Chat portal Process all agent on-line bookings Up sell and on sell flights, travel insurance and other ancillary services at every opportunity, looking to increase average customer transaction value Background, Qualifications and Key Behaviours: Passion and enthusiasm for sales Exceptional customer service Above the line attitude Previous background in the travel industry Personal travel background Excellent management skills Excellent time management and management skills High attention to detail Background in a busy customer service / call centre environment Thrive on working in a team environment Good level of computer literacy and background using a CRS Expertise to communicate effectively with all types of people Expertise to operate independently Expertise to think outside the square, be proactive and use initiative Strong knowledge of all Topdeck products Strong sales drive and commitment to chasing sales targets Social media savvy Actively live the Topdeck brand and support the growth of the business And of course… A passion for all things travel related!
