About the Team The Reporting application is critical to empowering users of Workday Planning to extract, visualize and analyze Planning data for their budgeting and forecasting needs. We build extensible, feature-rich report grids for BI and data analysis on top of our powerful and scalable compute engine to provide a best-in-class reporting platform that scales for very large data sets and complex planning models. About the Role Our team is building Workday Planning's first Google Add-on that will empower users to do reporting and ad-hoc analysis in Google Sheets. This new product will allow users to view, analyze, and modify Planning data while providing a rich conversational AI experience for deeper insights into customer data models. In this role, you will work closely with other developers, QA Engineers, Product owners, architects and cross functional teams. You will design and write clean code, debug applications, unit test their implementations, provide support for customer escalations and build a product that will perform and scale for extremely large data sets.We are looking for someone who thrives in a collaborative and innovative environment to apply the best engineering practices in the development of a best-in-class reporting application. About You Basic qualifications Full-stack software development experience with strong fundamentals in web applications, API design, enterprise and systems software.4+ years hands-on experience coding in Java technologies with solid knowledge and application of design patterns and principles. 4+ years hands-on experience with React, Typescript, JS or Angular.Experience with source control (Git), Jenkins, CI/CD pipelines, mock frameworks for unit testing. Other Qualifications Bachelors degree or higher in Software Engineering or equivalent understanding of software design and implementation best practices.Experience with Google Apps Script is a plus.Experience working in Agile/Scrum.Understanding or use of services architecture, docker, kubernetes.Some experience with databases (Postgres, Redis).
